Grandes libros hechos película

Dentro de la categoría de las Bellas Artes elaborada por Real Academia de las Artes Francesas se encuentran la literatura y el cine (este último integrado en 1964), los cuales pertenecen a distintas clasificaciones: la primera, es considerada un arte simbólica y el segundo una mixta. A pesar de ello, el cine se conecta con la literatura, específicamente con la narrativa, para desarrollar sus historias.

Cada año, vemos en cartelera por lo menos una cinta que está basada en una novela o, algunas ocasiones, en un cuento, tal es el caso de William Wilson (1999), cortometraje de dibujos animaos dirigido por Jorge Dayas que toma de modelo el cuento del mismo nombre de Edgar Alan Poe.

Además de libros llamados Best sellers (textos muy populares y que algunos de ellos tienen poco valor estético para los críticos), las obras consideradas por los literatos como maestras han sido llevadas a escena en grandes producciones.

El mundo de Sofía

En 1999 el director Erk Guastavson realizó esta película inspirándose en la novela filosófica del mismo nombre que el escritor Jostein Gaarder creó en 1991.

El señor de los anillos (2002-2003)

La saga del director Peter Jackson es una adaptación de las novelas de J.R.R. Tolkien publicadas entre 1954 y 1955.

Harry Potter (2001-2011)

La saga de Harry Potter (2001-2011) es de las más taquilleras de la historia del cine y está basada en el ciclo de novelas de J.K. Rowling escritas entre 1997 y 2007. La dirección estuvo en manos de Chris Columbus, Afonso Cuarón, Mike Newell, y David Yates en diferentes momentos.

El diario de Bridget Jones (2001)

Comedia dirigida por Sharon Maguire en el 2001. La cinta cuenta la historia de una torpe soltera de más de 30 años, personaje creado en 1996 por Helen Fielding en una novela homónima.

Viaje al centro de la tierra (2008)

Esta película puesta en la pantalla en el 2008 y dirigida por Eric Brevig toma el argumento de la obra llamda de la misma manera del escritor francés Julio Verne escrita en 1864.

Alicia en el país de las maravillas (2010)

Las aventuras de Alicia en el país de las maravillas (1865) y Alicia a través del espejo (1871) de Lewis Caroll han dado el argumento de esta película dirigida por Tim Borton en 2010 y de la cinta de dibujos animados de 1951 de Walt Disney, compañía que tabién produjo la cinta de Borton.

John Christopher "Johnny" Depp II (born June 9, 1963) is an American actor and musician known for his portrayals of offbeat, eccentric characters in a wide variety of dramas and fantasy films. He has won the Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild award for major roles in recent films.

Depp rose to prominence on the 1980s television series 21 Jump Street, quickly becoming a teen idol. Turning to film, he was notable as the title character of Edward Scissorhands (1990), and later found box office success in films such as Sleepy Hollow (1999), Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005).

He has collaborated with director and close friend Tim Burton in seven films, the most recent of which are Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) and Alice in Wonderland (2010). Depp has gained acclaim for his portrayals of people such as Edward D. Wood, Jr., in Ed Wood, Joseph D. Pistone in Donnie Brasco, Hunter S. Thompson in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and George Jung in Blow. More recently, he portrayed the bank robber John Dillinger in Michael Mann's 2009 film Public Enemies.

Films featuring Depp have grossed over $2.6 billion at the United States box office and over $6 billion worldwide. He has been nominated for top awards numerous times; he won the Best Actor Awards from the Golden Globes for his role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and from the Screen Actors Guild for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

Johnny Depp is a very respected and well-paid Hollywood actor, has also been considered one of the sexiest actors of 2010

In particular I admire him because he is a super talented and very versatile actor. The way he perform the characters is brilliant. Also I  like Johnny Depp because of  his manly attitude, comic and physical appearance

Of all his movies, I like best is  the saga of Pirates of the Caribbean, and his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, giving life to a treacherous character, who survives by using his wit and negotiating instead of using weapons and force; fight if necessary but prefer to flee most dangerous situations. This character gives Johnny a bit of comedy when he was walking as if he was drunk, talking about a very rare, extravagant and a grinning hand shakes that make it seem mannered.

But I also enjoyed his performance as Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. As the Mad Hatter in Alice and Wonderland and its latest production, which gives life to rank a chameleon who has always lived under the care of a family as a pet until you find your identity, reaching a town called Dirt in the middle of the desert, where he becomes the new Sheriff, pretending being the hero who once dreamed of being.
